Both dresses have full pleated skirting that can be worn with the crinoline and petticoat from Thimbles and Acorns Unmentionables pattern to get the distinctive 1860s bell-shaped skirt. The bodice, oversleeves, and skirting can be embellished with bias tape, lace, or any other Victorian style trimmings. The dress fastens in back with three buttons, but hook and loop tape or snaps can be used if preferred. A smart looking belt adds a nice finishing touch.

Suggested Fabrics: View A and B Dress in lightweight to medium weight woven fabric such as cotton, cotton blends, linen, or silk. Undersleeves, Lining, and Collar in lightweight woven fabric such as cotton batiste, muslin, silk, or handkerchief linen.

• One 1/2” decorative button, for neckline
• One 1/2” wide slider buckle

View A Dress

• Two yards narrow trim such as soutache braid,
• middy braid, lace, or bias tape
• Two 1/4” buttons
• Two 1/4” snaps

View B Dress

• One and a half yards narrow trim such as soutache braid, middy braid, lace, or bias tape
• Seven 1/4” buttons
• Two 1/4” snaps
