For reference, see the actual size chart on the product packaging (I attached to this review). Originally purchased a Medium for a 10yo average build child, it was too short. Large is the correct size.

Order regular size..they start out big then shrink with washing. 100% cotton you should expect that. Grandson is 10 yrs old, 4'6" tall , about 92 lb.s L fits great , size up if you arent sure.
