Its compact growth and shallow roots make it ideal for small containers, sunny windowsills, or terrariums. With bright light, the plant showcases striking pink foliage, complemented by vibrant pink blooms in spring and fall. Keep it moist with nutrient-free water during active growth, allowing it to dry slightly in winter when it may go dormant. During dormancy, the leaves become more succulent in form and lose their usual sticky surface. Like all butterworts, its sticky leaves naturally trap fungus gnats and other small pests, making it both ornamental and practical.
